EA Programs the Android for Games

Electronic Arts, one of the world's largest video game companies, recently announced its expansion into games for the Google Android platform. The games are tried and true classics and are a safe bet to sell a few thousand copies. But don't let that stop you from getting your game on, after all, every platform needs classic games to wile some time away.

Leading off the EA charge onto Android is one of history's best-selling video game titles ever, Tetris. With the touch screen you can spin or move and place your blocks with the tap of a finger. The game will offer three modes of play including:
-40 Lines mode – Clear lines as fast as you can for the highest score.
-Ultra Mode – Earn points as you race the clock
-Marathon Mode – A never-ending rain of blocks will leave you breathless, how long can you survive?

The second game from EA is yet another major seller, Bejeweled. In the Android version you'll swap gems with a flick in landscape and portrait modes until all the plays are exhausted in Classic mode. There's also Action mode which pits you against the clock, fill the progress bar and advance to the next level before time runs out.

The third game EA has announced is Monopoly Here & Now Edition. Using the touch screen build your empire, buy and sell properties and crush the competition. This version is complete with dynamic and animated game pieces and real locations.
