Quickfire Just in Time for Christmas from AT&T

Quick messaging is the battle cry of the mobile carriers this season and AT&T is delivering the last blow before the new year with the release of the Quickfire, the fourth and final quick messaging mobile from AT&T. This one was developed by Personal Communications Devices, LLC.

The Quickfire features a full QWERTY keyboard because the text addicted need all the keys to fire off their messages as quickly as possible and predictive text just isn’t enough at times. But this device also offers a touch screen to accompany that keyboard. It’s able to be used in both portrait and landscape modes, which means you can use it however you feel comfortable.

The phone includes 3G connectivity for fast data transfer and clear calling and of course ties into the AT&T download services via Napster, eMusic and the AT&T Media Mall for ringtones, graphics and more. You can also snap quick photos with the 1.3 megapixel camera and then send the photos or video clips straight to the internet along with having access to email and instant messaging.

For those of you who are frequently lost and won’t stop to ask for directions the Quickfire also features a trial subscription to AT&T Navigator, the turn-by-turn navigation service from the mobile provider. The subscription costs $9.99 a month if you really don’t want to stop for directions, and it’s one of those “if you don’t cancel we’ll charge you” deals, so be sure to cancel it if you don’t want it.

All quick messaging phones are compatible with AT&T's messaging plans that offer 200, 1,500 and unlimited messaging for $5, $15 and $20, respectively. The Quickfire is available now at AT&T retail locations and online at http://www.att.com/wireless for $99.99 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate. The rebate will be in the form of a $50 promotion card that can be used almost like cash in many places.
