One of the major upgrades in this model, along with the 3G connectivity, is the accelerometer. Now you don’t always have to use the buttons on the phone to get to what you want. Shaking the phone, for example, allow you to fast forward to the next track on your playlist. This also means you can use the phone to interact in new ways with video games, similar to the motion controls on current game consoles. Like its predecessors, the W580 and W350, the W760a can also tie into all of the AT&T music features that include Napster Mobile, eMusic mobile, Music ID and XM Radio. The Sony Ericcson W760a isn’t only about music. It also comes with a host of messaging features including Mobile Email, instant messenger, SMS and MMS capabilities. It features a full-HTML web browser for surfing the way it was meant to be seen and a 3.2 MegaPixel camera so photos can be snapped quickly. It connects to AT&T Navigator which features turn-by-turn directions and mapping functions to keep you on the right path. New W760a customers get a 30-day free trial of Navigator. The Sony Ericcson W760a will be available for $129.99 after the standard two-year new service agreement and the $50 mail-in rebate a la debit card trick. The phone is available in red, black and silver (Radio Shack Exclusive for now). Since it is 3G capable you can roam hundreds of countries thanks to AT&T’s global partnerships and maintain a fast connection speed.
It's the question on everyone's mind: will you (or have you already) picked up the new 3G iPhone?
