The Phoenix Mobile Communication System, from Callpod, is the world’s first Bluetooth conferencing system which allows up to five users to communicate over an area of 300,000 square feet.
The Phoenix works well for those who have to be in protective gear in medical and emergency services or who need secure, wireless communications for tactical and logistical purposes. The system is completely mobile and has up to eight hours of talk time via the internal Lithium Ion battery. With five headsets and a mobile phone or Skype the users have push-to-talk capabilities all the while eliminating background noise on the full-duplex communications channel. The system is compatible with all Bluetooth headsets, phones and computers.
Additionally, the five headset wearers can speak to a remote party via a voice over IP connection through the computer or mobile connected into the system with Internet access.
The Phoenix mobile conferencing system comes pre-paired with five Dragon V2 headsets and Drone, a USB Bluetooth adapter for computers (Mac and PC) with a 100 meter range. This allows for instant communications by simply turning it on.
Included in the package are the six-channel Bluetooth base station, , five Callpod Dragon V2 headsets, a Callpod Drone USB adapter, Chargepod with six mini-USB adapters to charge all five Dragons at once, an AC/DC adapter with interchangeable prongs for international use, a car charger and high impact carrying case and molded insert foam.
Each of the Dragon V2 Bluetooth headsets has a range of 100 meters (about 328 feet) and offers noise suppression technology. The Chargepod allows for multiple devices to be charged simultaneously and has adapters available for many mobile devices including phones, iPods, Blackberrys and more.
